Mastering the underlying techniques and processes contributes to a sense of self-worth and autonomy. At Baking Lab, we contribute in a unique way to the revival of traditional craftsmanship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Educational Bakery<\/strong><br \/>\nBehind the simplicity of bread lie complex biological, chemical, and physical processes. Yet baking bread is not difficult\u2014but also not exactly a \u2018piece of cake.\u2019 Why is that? Over the past decades, much research has been done on this. At our LAB, we explore this research. Together with the students working with us, we share our findings through workshops and educational programs with a wide audience. In this way, students, graduates, and other team members can contribute to artisanal knowledge and skills in a creative way\u2014closely connected to pressing social themes like food, health, and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reducing Food Waste<\/strong><br \/>\nPreventing food waste is not only practical, it\u2019s also an inspiring training model for promoting circular innovation in general. Finding creative ways to prevent waste encourages us to think beyond the obvious\u2014far beyond just the food sector.<\/p>\n<p>Within our <a href=\"https:\/\/school.bakinglab.net\">School for Circular Innovation,<\/a> our team also works on educational programs that actively reduce food waste. This challenge not only inspires but also shows that reducing food waste goes hand in hand with creating healthier and more sustainable food systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Team<\/strong><br \/>\nOur team consists of people from diverse backgrounds, including biology, art, food, health sciences, and computer science.
