Baking Lab Experience

The baking lab experience occasionally features special themes.

  • Theme: Science & Senses Baking Lab Experience  session explores key scientific principles related to fermentation and sometimes also a hands-on experiment.

  • Co-bakers Max and Oksana developed a low-sugar, vegan poppy seed babka recipe. The making of this recipe is integrated into the Thursday Baking Lab Experience (Babka) in November.

Other workshops:

  • For those who have already taken one of our workshops, we sometimes offer dedicated sessions to help you practice and refine your shaping skills,

  • More advanced sourdough bakers are invited to join our Intermediate Sourdough Workshop for more experienced sourdough bakers

 

ARTIS-Micropia Lecture series (November -December)

Discover how microbes are not only beneficial, but also surprisingly delicious and a source of innovation. 

In November and December, ARTIS-Micropia offers a four-part course: Microbes, Food & Health. During the lectures, participants explore the fascinating world of microbes in food and health. Baking Lab was invited to contribute to this course and will host an interactive program on Wednesday, November 19, on sourdough in the ARTIS Planetarium.
