Privacy statement

I Introduction
In this privacy statement you can read everything about how your personal data is collected and how it is handled, your rights with regard to your data and how you can use those rights.

The privacy statement of Baking Lab is related to educational projects, courses, events and other related services in our cafe and bakery lab. The personal data is collected by Baking Lab for:

1) Verification participation courses, workshops, events and related services;

2) Correspondence payments regarding vouchers, gift vouchers or webshop offers;

3) To inform customers about future workshops & events (mailing list).

Your name and e-mail address are collected via the appropriate form on the Baking Lab website. In addition, you may be asked verbally or textually (eg at our checkout desk) to sign up for an event or related service. In some cases, address details are also requested (webshop).

Contact
Your data will be collected if you contact Baking Lab via the website. You will only be asked for the information required to be able to offer a proposal or a service, such as your name, company name, e-mail address, telephone number and project description.

II Purpose data

Google Analytics
The Baking Lab website collects your data to improve the website. This is done with Google Analytics. This data is anonymous and is therefore not tied to your personal data. This includes information such as the duration of your website visit or the pages that you visit a lot. Retained Your data will be retained by Baking Lab for a longer period of time, but never longer than necessary for carrying out activities, unless we are required to keep your data longer by virtue of a legal regulation.

Sending newsletters
Your e-mail address and name are stored in Mailchimp (US). The storage of your data is for an indefinite period of time. You can unsubscribe and use it to delete your data whenever you want via the link below the newsletters.

Contact
The moment you contact Baking Lab via e-mail, the data that you send, such as your name, company name and e-mail address, is stored on the mail server.

III Storage period

Google Analytics
The data that Analytics collects on the website is anonymous, so not connected to your name, company or e-mail address. This data is stored indefinitely within Google Analytics (United States).

Mailchimp Newsletter
The newsletters are sent with Mailchimp, a company from the United States. The moment you sign up for the newsletter, your e-mail address and first name are automatically stored in the appropriate list within Mailchimp.

IV Hosting

E-mail
The email from Baking Lab is hosted by Google. If you contact us via the forms or via mail, those emails will be stored on the servers of Google (US).

Website
The website and website backups are hosted by VDX (the Netherlands). Data that you leave behind may possibly be stored at VDX or Google.

Security
Your visit to our website is secured by an SSL certificate. Your connection to the Baking Lab website is therefore private.

V Rights

Right to view
You have the right to request your data at all times which is recorded and stored at Baking Lab. Because we try to save as little personal data from you as possible, further inspection normally makes no sense. If you still want to have access, please contact us by e-mail and indicate when you have purchased service from us and with which e-mail address you should be registered. You will then receive an overview of your data if there is one.

Right to rectification
Is your information incorrect? You can change your newsletter details yourself via  the appropriate link (url) at the bottom of each email.

Your rights
Right to delete data. Do you no longer want your data to be recorded at Baking Lab? Then you have the right to have your data deleted, you can delete your data yourself via the appropriate URL at the bottom of each email.

Legitimate interest
Baking Lab processes personal data on the grounds of a legitimate interest, namely a commercial interest.Consider, for example, offering services or products from Baking Lab via e-mail. The data that are required to deliver are the minimum data required for offering the services or products. Your e-mail address is needed, for example, to send the newsletter or to book a workshop. If this mandatory information is not provided, Baking Lab cannot offer the relevant service.

Sharing data
If it is necessary to share data that you have shared with Baking Lab with other organizations, your permission will first be requested. Your information will never be sold to third parties.

Duties

Baking Lab reserves the right to disclose the information when required to do so by law or where Baking Lab deems it justified to comply with a legal request / process or to protect Baking Lab’s rights, property or security. In addition, we try to respect your right to privacy.
